Privacy Policy
Effective date: 24 August 2026
Cuddly Teddycraft respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website. Personal information is used primarily to receive, review and respond to enquiries about handmade teddy bears and related keepsakes.
This policy explains what information is collected through the enquiry form, why it is used, how long it is kept and the rights available under data protection law.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Cuddly Teddycraft, based in Ireland, is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website.
Questions about this policy or about your information can be sent to cuddlyteddycraft@protonmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Through the enquiry form, the following information may be collected:
- your name
- your email address
- the product category or style you selected
- preferred colours and customisation details
- the occasion
- a desired date, if you provide one
- your delivery country
- your message
- your adoption certificate choice
- the website language you were using
- an enquiry reference, the submission time and the enquiry status
- limited technical or security records, only where they are actually collected to keep the form working and protected
Please do not include sensitive personal information, such as health, financial or identity document details, in an enquiry. It is not needed to prepare a response.
3. How we use the information
Information from an enquiry is used to:
- receive and review your enquiry
- respond to you personally
- discuss design, availability, timing, delivery and possible pricing
- send you a receipt or confirmation of your enquiry
- send an administrative notification to Cuddly Teddycraft
- maintain enquiry records and private administrative notes
- protect the enquiry form and the website against misuse
- meet applicable legal obligations
4. Legal bases
In plain language, personal information is processed on these legal bases:
- to take steps at your request before entering into a possible contract, when you ask about a handmade order
- legitimate interests in operating the enquiry service, keeping accurate records of enquiries and protecting the website from misuse
- compliance with legal obligations, where they apply
- consent, only where an optional feature legally requires it
Consent is not the legal basis for the core enquiry form. This website does not send marketing emails. There is no automated decision-making or profiling in relation to enquiries.
5. Service providers and recipients
Enquiries are handled with the help of a small number of technical providers that support this website:
- Lovable, for website hosting and application infrastructure
- Supabase, for the database and backend services that store enquiries
- Lovable's transactional email service, used to deliver enquiry confirmations and administrative notifications
- Proton Mail, which receives administrative enquiry notifications sent to Cuddly Teddycraft
These providers process information only as required to deliver their services to Cuddly Teddycraft. Information from enquiries is not sold and is not shared for marketing.
6. International data transfers
Some technical providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where that happens, safeguards required by data protection law are relied upon for the transfer. No claims are made here about specific storage locations or certifications.
7. How long information is kept
Enquiry information may generally be retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless it needs to be kept longer for an active order, a legal obligation, a dispute, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Technical and security information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary.
8. Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions in data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information held about you
- have inaccurate information corrected
- request deletion of your information
- request restriction of processing
- object to processing based on legitimate interests
- data portability, where applicable
- withdraw consent, where processing relies on consent
- lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission
Requests can be sent to cuddlyteddycraft@protonmail.com. Confirmation of your identity may be required before a request can be fulfilled. A complaint can be made to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
9. Children's information
Enquiries are intended to be submitted by adults. Cuddly Teddycraft does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the enquiry form.
10. Security
Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used to protect enquiry information, including restricted access to enquiry records, protective measures on the enquiry form and reputable service providers. No website or online service can guarantee absolute security.
11. Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts. It uses only strictly necessary technologies needed to load pages, keep the enquiry form working and protect it from misuse, together with local browser storage that remembers your language choice.
If optional analytics are introduced in future, this policy will be updated and fuller information will be provided in the Cookie Policy.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date shown at the top of the page identifies the latest version.
