Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 24 August 2026
These terms explain how Cuddly Teddycraft works today: a small handmade studio in Ireland where every creation is discussed personally before anything is made.
This page describes our current way of working. It will be updated when pricing, payment services or online ordering are introduced.
1. About Cuddly Teddycraft
Cuddly Teddycraft is a handmade teddy bear and keepsake studio based in Ireland. It is not currently described as a registered company.
The only contact method at this time is email: cuddlyteddycraft@protonmail.com.
2. Scope of these terms
These terms apply to your use of cuddlyteddycraft.com and to enquiries sent through the website or by email.
By using the website or sending an enquiry, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
3. Nature of the website
The website is a catalogue and enquiry service. It is not an instant online shop.
There is no shopping cart, checkout or online payment. Images and descriptions are shown as examples of previous work and as inspiration for a personal commission.
4. Enquiries and individually reviewed requests
When you send an enquiry, you are asking us to consider a possible handmade creation. Every enquiry is read and answered personally.
We may ask questions about colours, materials, occasion or timing so that we can understand what you have in mind before anything is agreed.
5. No automatic acceptance of an order
Sending an enquiry does not create a binding contract and does not reserve a place in the making schedule.
An agreement is formed only when the details of the creation, the price, the payment method, the timing and the delivery arrangements have been confirmed between us in writing, and you have confirmed that you wish to proceed.
6. Design, colours, materials and handmade variations
Every creation is made by hand, so small variations are natural and are part of its character.
Yarn batches, textures and finishing details can differ slightly, and colours may appear different on screens depending on your device and lighting.
Requested colours, patterns or materials are subject to availability and are confirmed before work begins. Not every combination can be made.
7. Availability and completion times
Because each creation is made individually, availability depends on the current workload.
Any indication of how long a creation may take is an estimate discussed with you personally, not a guaranteed date. If something changes, we will tell you as soon as we can.
8. Prices and payment
Prices are not published on this website. The price of a creation depends on its size, complexity, materials and any personalisation.
The price, what it includes and the payment method are confirmed with you individually before work begins. No payment is taken through this website.
9. Approval of the agreed specification
Before making begins, we will summarise what has been agreed, including style, colours, personalisation and any optional extras.
Please check this summary carefully. Work is carried out on the basis of the specification you approve.
10. Changes requested after work begins
If you would like to change something once work has started, please tell us as early as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate a change, but it may not always be possible, and it may affect the price or the timing. Any such change is agreed with you before it is made.
11. Delivery
Cuddly Teddycraft is based in Ireland and delivers within Ireland. Enquiries from other countries are welcome and considered individually.
The delivery country, the delivery method and the delivery cost are confirmed with you before work begins. No delivery prices or delivery times are published on this website.
12. International enquiries
For deliveries outside Ireland, customs duties, import taxes or handling charges may apply in the destination country.
Any such charges are set by the authorities of that country and are the responsibility of the recipient. We cannot predict or control them.
13. Information you provide
Personalisation such as names, dates or messages is made exactly as you provide it, so please check spelling and details carefully before confirming.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact and delivery information you give us, and you confirm that you have the right to use any name, wording or image you ask us to include.
14. Official Certificate of Teddy Bear Adoption
The Official Certificate of Teddy Bear Adoption is an optional personalised keepsake. It is not included automatically with every creation.
If you would like one, it is discussed and confirmed as part of your enquiry, together with the details that appear on it.
15. Intellectual property and website content
The content of this website, including text, photographs, the logo and the overall design, belongs to Cuddly Teddycraft unless stated otherwise.
You may view and share the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not copy, reproduce or use our photographs, wording or branding commercially without written permission.
16. Photographs of previous creations
Photographs on this website show creations that have already been made. They are examples of style and craftsmanship rather than items available to buy.
A new creation inspired by a photograph will be similar in spirit, but it cannot be an exact reproduction.
17. Product safety and intended use
Our creations are handmade decorative keepsakes and collectable companions. They are not described as certified toys and are not presented as suitable for every age.
If a creation is intended for a young child, please tell us in your enquiry so that we can discuss what is and is not possible before anything is agreed. Any creation given to a child should be used under adult supervision.
18. Cancellation and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits or removes any rights you have under applicable consumer law, including any rights that apply to items made to your personal specification.
Because each creation is made individually, cancellation is discussed on a case-by-case basis. The arrangements that apply to your creation are confirmed with you in writing before work begins.
19. Faulty or damaged items
If a creation arrives damaged, or if something is not as agreed, please contact us by email as soon as possible and include photographs where you can.
We will look at it personally and agree a fair solution with you, in line with your legal rights.
20. Limitation of liability
We take care over our work and over the information on this website, but we cannot promise that the website will always be available or entirely free of errors.
We are not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been expected. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
21. Events outside our reasonable control
Sometimes events beyond our reasonable control, such as illness, postal disruption, supply shortages or technical failures, may delay a creation or its delivery.
If this happens, we will contact you as soon as we can and agree a revised arrangement with you.
22. Privacy and cookies
Information you send through an enquiry is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Browser storage used by the website is described in our Cookie Policy.
23. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the way we work changes, for example when pricing, payment services or online ordering are introduced.
The date shown at the top of this page identifies the current version, and the terms in place when your creation is agreed are the ones that apply to it.
24. Governing law
Cuddly Teddycraft operates from Ireland, and these terms are governed by Irish law.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections under the law of your own country.
25. Contact
